Reading Ways is growing. We are looking for someone smart, experienced, caring, and funny (the last part is optional). Full time or part time options are available.

In 2020, we worked with Ohio SST3 to create a webinar series for folks from across the state to learn more about adolescent literacy. Our webinars included presentations from Sarah Lupo, Dianna Townsend, Dan Reynolds, Emily Galloway, Jacy Ippolito,  Catherine Snow, and more. You can learn about the series and the network at https://ohioaln.org/.

This year we are expanding and deepening our work with the network and Ohio schools. We are looking for a consultant who can help coordinate efforts with our network. This work is at the intersection of research and practice in secondary literacy. The ideal candidate will have some or all of the following qualifications:

  • Master’s degree (M.A./M.S./M.A.T.) or higher in a related field.
  • Three to five years of teaching and instructional experience in middle or high schools.
  • Two to four years of leadership experience in administration of middle or high schools, or at the district or state level.
  • Current knowledge of adolescent literacy research.
  • Excellent communication skills in digital environments.

This job provides the opportunity to work with leading literacy researchers, regional leaders, and partner schools. There may be opportunities to collaborate in research or publications as a partner in this project. The work is remote.

Contact Josh directly at josh@readingways.org with a cover letter and CV to be considered. Please include your availability (e.g. full time, or the number of hours a week if part-time).
