Austin Evans
Austin Evans is one of the many talented people Reading Ways has been fortunate enough to collaborate with. He is a recent graduate of James Madison University, where he earned his Masters in the Art of Teaching with a concentration in Middle Education.
During his time at JMU, Austin collaborated with Dr. Sarah Lupo to write a practitioner’s article on using a strengths-based approach for Literacy interventions. Their article was published in the Reading in Virginia journal. He also presented this work at the National Council for Teachers of English conference.
Austin has a passion for language, teaching, and connecting research to practice. He is looking forward to exploring these interests for many years to come as he begins his dream job as a 7th grade English teacher this fall.
